The Villiger 1888, the top-of-the-line cigar for Villiger Stokkebye, renowned for their pipe tobacco, whose history began in 1888 in Switzerland, by Jean Villiger. Villiger & Sons celebrates their 120th anniversary with the introduction of their very first hand-rolled premium cigar, the Villiger 1888 blend. The development process is overseen by Heinrich Villiger who has earned a reputation as one of the tobacco world's last of the grand old men of the industry with decades of cigar-making under his belt and everything involved in producing a fine cigar, such as the Villiger 1888.

The Villiger 1888 cigar's appearance, for lack of a better word, is "clean cut." It is flawless looking with its seamless construction, practically veinless golden wrapper, the perfectly placed double cap, the solid and tightly packed binder and filler and its easy-to-read band. The burn on the Villiger 1888 is almost equally flawless with its tight white ash and sharp burn line. The Villiger 1888 is available in 5 sizes: Corona (6 x 43), Perla (4 x 40), Robusto (4 3/4 x 50), Short Robusto (4 x 50), Torpedo (6 x 52).

For the mild cigar lover or if you are looking for a change of pace from your "in-your-face" ligero cigars, the Villiger 1888 is the perfect smoke. With a flavor profile that ranges from vanilla, musk, sweet, creamy notes to the smooth and balanced hints of wood. While not a complex blend it is certainly easy on the palate and changes flavors about midway to guarantee a pleasurable smoking experience.

"As with all Villiger products, it is our hope that you will taste the artistry, skill and love that we put into every cigar." - Heinrich Villiger
